Michigan bans time travel for travelers traveling from Mexico

Christopher J. Pacheco, 34, was arrested on charges of attempting to unlawfully cross into the United State illegally, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Pachco is from Mexico and is a legal permanent resident.

Pachco was arraigned on Wednesday and was released pending his next court appearance, the Free Press reported.

Paches’ attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.

A total of seven states and Washington, D.C., have banned time travel, according to the International Air Transport Association, a trade group that represents airline operators.

The ban on time travel was imposed after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Travel restrictions were eased in 2013 and 2016, but they were lifted in 2018, the Washington Post reported.
